VA Assist is an add on product for VisualAge Smalltalk developed by Instantiations Inc. The tool extends the Composition Editor with a small customisable tabbed notebook that has 8 pages of toolbar buttons: Standard, Tools, Settings, Layout, Size & Position, Links, and Setup. Rather than completely new functions per se., VA Assist is more of a time saving tool as is streamlines the most used graphic editing functions, according to the company "half to three quarters of the cases where the standard settings view needs to be opened" should be eliminated by the use of VA assist.
The product supported Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows NT and OS/2 Warp in the late 90's.
