wpConfirmRenameFileWithExt

This method is specific to version 3, or higher, of the OS/2 operating system.

This instance method prompts the user whether to rename this file with possibly a different extension.

Syntax

_wpConfirmRenameFileWithExt(somself)

Parameters

somself (WPFileSystem *) - input
Pointer to the object invoking the method (a "self" pointer).
Points to an object of class WPFileSystem.

Returns

fConfirmation (ULONG) - returns
Confirmation flag.
  • CANCEL_RENAMEFILESWITHEXT The file is not renamed, and the title is not changed.
  • DISCARD_RENAMEFILESWITHEXT The file is renamed, and the old extension is discarded.
  • KEEP_RENAMEFILESWITHEXT The file is renamed, but the old extension is kept.

How to Override

This method is generally not overridden.

Usage

This method can be called at any time by a class that wants to handle the prompting or override the return value.
