SOMobjects Developer Toolkit for OS/2

SOMobjects Developer Toolkit for OS/2 is an object-oriented programming development product which makes it possible to use System Object Model (SOM) technology to create object-oriented class libraries which can be shared by programmers using different programming languages.

Class libraries and applications developed with SOM v1 can coexist with the later SOMobjects.

Versions

  • 2.0 - bindings for C and C++, DSOM
  • 2.1 - Direct-to-SOM (DTS) Compiler support for IBM VisualAge C++ and MetaWare High C/C++
  • 3.0 - Supports the following compilers:
    • IBM VisualAge C++ 3.0 for OS/2
    • IBM C Set++ for OS/2 2.1
    • Borland C++ for OS/2 2.0
    • MetaWare High C++ 3.32
    • Watcom C/C++ 10.5
