MLM DELETE

This message deletes text.

Syntax

ULONG ulDel;     /* Number of bytes to delete. */

Parameters

iptBegin (IPT) - input

Starting point of deletion.

ulDel (ULONG) - input

Number of bytes to delete.

Returns

ulSuccess (ULONG) - return

Number of bytes successfully deleted.

Remarks=

This message takes an insertion point and a length, and deletes that number of characters from the text. If the insertion point is -1, the selection is used and the effect is identical to the MLM_CLEAR message.

This may cause an overflow, see MLN_OVERFLOW.

Default Processing

The default window procedure takes no action on this message, other than to set ulSuccess to 0.
