LTSVCFG.COM
This is the configuration utility for the LAN Virtual Device Driver (LANVDD) — the OS/2
component that gives DOS sessions/VDMs virtualized access to 802.2/NetBIOS networking. It
is a raw DOS .COM file (no OS/2 executable header), consistent with needing to
run correctly inside a real DOS/VDM context. It is documented in the IBM MPTS
Configuration Guide (MPTSCFG.INF) under "Configuring the LAN Virtual Device
Driver" → "Using the LTSVCFG Utility Program."
CONFIG.SYS Information
Configures per-adapter parameters used by the LAN Virtual Device Driver
(LANVDD.OS2/LANPDD.OS2) when a DOS session/VDM starts.
Notes
Per its message catalog (LT0.MSG): "The configuration parameters supplied to
LTSVCFG are incorrect. Defaults will be used for all adapters." — i.e. LANVDD falls back
to defaults rather than failing outright if this utility's parameters are invalid.
