- I am a licensee of the IBM Device Driver Source Kit for OS/2. What is The Developer Connection Device Driver Kit for OS/2?

- The IBM Developer Connection Device Driver Kit for OS/2 is basically the IBM Device Driver Source Kit for OS/2 combined with The Developer Connection for OS/2. Some elements of The Developer Connection for OS/2 are useful to device driver developers and the offering has been expanded to incorporate hose elements into one product offering.
- If you purchased the IBM Device Driver Source Kit for OS/2 after November 1, 1993 and before November 1, 1994, you were automatically transferred to this new offering and your membership will expire, unless you renew, on the anniversary of the date you ordered the IBM Device Driver Source Kit for OS/2.

- Does The Developer Connection DDK replace The Developer Connection for OS/2?

- No, The Developer Connection for OS/2 remains a separately available product and is included with a license to the Developer Connection DDK. So, you can get both by licensing or purchasing The Developer Connection DDK.
- The Developer Connection DDK does replace the IBM Device Driver Source Kit for OS/2.

- Everything I need is on the DDK CD. Can I buy the DDK CD for a price lower than The Developer Connection DDK? Why am I now receiving The Developer Connection for OS/2?

- No, you can only receive the DDK CD by licensing The Developer Connection DDK.
- Through quarterly deliveries, The Developer Connection for OS/2 provides the latest levels of the toolkits; you do not need to buy the toolkit separately and you receive all the fixes and new function. The Developer Connection for OS/2 also provides beta levels of new operating systems allowing you to test your drivers on these new systems. Device Driver source samples provided in The Developer Connection News are included on The Developer Connection CD. New technology is introduced giving you a perspective from where the next device driver requirements will come. And, of course, all of the productivity and development tools are provided in one place on a frequent basis.

- I am in a small development group and we all need to use The Developer Connection DDK, but I can not afford several copies of the program. Is there a less expensive alternative?

- The Developer Connection DDK offers Additional Licenses to the program. If you purchase The Developer Connection DDK, you can purchase one or more additional licenses which allow you to make one copy of the information on the CD for each additional license ordered.

- Prior to the announce of The Developer Connection DDK, I licensed both The Developer Connection for OS/2 and the IBM Device Driver Source Kit for OS/2. When do I need to renew my membership to the Developer Connection DDK?

- Your membership to The Developer Connection DDK has been determined by the date which you last ordered one of those products. For example, if you ordered the Device Driver Source Kit in July and The Developer Connection for OS/2 in September, your membership to The Developer Connection Device Driver Kit will last until next September.

- I license the Developer Connection for OS/2 and am now interested in receiving the Device Driver Kit information. Can I upgrade my membership?

- Yes, you can upgrade your membership. Your membership to The Developer Connection for OS/2 will be transferred to the Developer Connection DDK and will expire, unless you renew, on the date when your membership to The Developer Connection for OS/2 would have expired.

- I license The Developer Connection for OS/2 and have one or more additional licenses to it. If I upgrade to The Developer Connection DDK, what happens to the Additional Licenses for The Developer Connection for OS/2?

- You may retain the additional licenses and continue to use them as before, or you can upgrade them via The Developer Connection Additional License Upgrade which allows you make one copy of the DDK CD for each additional license upgraded. This is in addition to the rights you had already purchased in The Developer Connection for OS/2 Additional License agreement.
