Programmer's text editors that run under modern 32 or 64 versions of Microsoft Windows, while this is normally outside of the remit of the EDM/2 Wiki as the software does not run under OS/2 (although it may run under Odin), the thing is that if we are creating a page on DOS, OS/2 or 16 bit editors that run under OS/2 or eComStation and there is a Win32 edition available as well it only takes us a couple of seconds to add them to a Win32 category as well. It can also be genuinely useful to have a cross platform tool even though one of the platforms is no longer receiving updates.

In addition to straight programmers editors this category may also include Unicode editors or other editors that are have some unique features that make it worthwhile running them on a modern platform, or are notable or infamous, for some reason.
