Source Migration Analysis Reporting Toolset, SMART, developed by One Up Corporation, consists of a set of tools that assist application developers in migrating 16-bit Windows and OS/2 source code, and 32-bit Windows source code, to OS/2 32-bit source code. The Toolset includes:

SMART Analysis and Reporting Tool
Analyzes and reports on the level of difficulty required to migrate source code from one platform to another.
SMART Source Migration
Helps migrate source code to OS/2 32-bit from the selected source platform.
SMART Resource Translator
Converts Windows resources to OS/2 resources.
SMART Viewer
Provides context-sensitive online help.
SMART Editor
Provides both editing and hyperlinking to the key elements in your source code.

New Release

The SMART Version 2 is more functional and gives developers greater flexibility. The new enhancements allow the automation process to be more tailored, either dynamically or statically, to the specific requirements of the developer's code. SMART Version 2 including all function in the SMART Version 1 complete toolset, as well as the following enhancements:

User-defined Migration Data Bases
Create migration tables and databases.
Migration Command Language
Program or tailor the migration process.
Improved Parsing and Migration
Engine readable and effective migration output format.
Multiple Pass Migration Feature
Capability to ignore previously migrated source code on subsequent SMART migration runs.
Printer Interface
Print a formatted SMART analysis report directly from SMART.
Analysis Report Summary Pages
Size of the conversion effort and provides a roadmap for migration.
Analysis of Windows Resources and Summary Report
Size of the resource translation effort and savings provided from the SMART Resource Translator.
Analysis Progress Panel
Time completed and estimates the remaining time in the second step of the analysis process.
User-specified Effort Scaling Factor
Scaling factor for the effort calculation in the SMART analysis report.
