CA-Realia
Appearance
CA-Realia is a product line of development systems from Computer Associates.
History
Realia was traditionally a mainframe development system that targets IBM mainframes but also offered a DOS development front end.
Realia, Inc. was acquired by Pansophic Systems, Inc. in 1991.
CA-Visual Realia was developed for 16-bit Microsoft Windows that could both develop PC applications and be used for developing mainframe applications. The later CA-Realia II offered support for 32-bit OS/2 and Windows NT.
CA-Realia II supports DB2 development on Windows, OS/2 and on IBM mainframes, however when using COBOL indexed files there are small incompatibilities between the PC versions and the mainframe versions.
