An Ada compiler introduced in a DOS version by Icelandic company Íslensk Forritaþróun in 1985, but the company changed its name to Artek later that year to present a more agreeable name for international markets. It is not clear if an OS/2 version was ever shipped, the main spokesman of the company maintains that one was ready and shipping but no confirmation of that has been found. The company made a deal with Lattice in 87 or 88 to sell the products in the USA.
