The programming language B was designed by Dennis M. Ritchie and Ken L. Thompson in 1969 at at AT&T Bell Telephone Laboratories. The language is suitable for system programming.

Implementations

The Unix dialect of B closely followed the original Honeywell version. It has been later superseded by C.
