In this issue of The Developer Connection News, we introduce the Universal Resource Editor (URE). URE lets you create and maintain dialog boxes, menus, accelerators, help tables, bitmaps, icons, pointers, and other resource types. Our intent is to deliver URE next year as a replacement for the OS/2 Dialog Editor. However, before URE is ready for "prime time" development, a series of tests must be completed.

We encourage you to try URE. You can find it in the Beta section of the Developer's Toolkit for OS/2 Warp. (Open the Beta folder and the Beta Development Tools folder.) We are very interested in your assessment. Send your comments and suggestions to devcon@vnet.ibm.com.

Thanks in advance for your help and feedback.
