VisualAge COBOL
Appearance
IBM's COBOL development environment introduced in 1995 for OS/2 and AIX as "VisualAge for COBOL" with a Windows NT version following shortly thereafter and the for bit dropped from the name. In addition to native OS/2 programming "Enterprise" versions of the software could be used for developing MVS executables and the later z/OS variant, the compiler is nearly 100% "IBM Enterprise COBOL" compatible.
VA COBOL offered a visual design and testing environment similar to the VisualAge C++ v4 and VA SmallTalk products
