Peter Gerwinski
German physicist with special interest in computing for the blind, contributed to OS/2 in the 90's including creating the DOS and OS/2 port of GNU Pascal in addition to contributing the Borland Pascal compatibility mode for it, later became the overall maintainer of that now defunct project. He later turned his attention to Linux and became the head of the European office of the Free Software Foundation and later became the managing director of G-N-U GmbH. He is currently a professor hardware IT systems at Hochschule Bochum (aka Bochum University of Applied Sciences)
