IBM Network Transport Services/2 (NTS/2) consists of three different parts:

  1. LAN Adapter and Protocol Support (LAPS)
  2. LANCID Utilities
  3. Additional network adapter support

NTS/2 provides the following programming interfaces:

  • NetBIOS
  • IEEE 802.2
  • Network Driver Interface Specification (NDIS)

802.2 Logical Link Control Data Link
802.3 Medium Access 802.4 Medium Access 802.5 Medium Access 802.6 Medium Access
802.3 Physical 802.4 Physical 802.5 Physical 802.6 Physical Physical
