MP/M is a multi-tasking, multi-user operating system introduced by Digital Research in 1979 for 8-bit computer systems based around 8080 microprocessors. It was basically a multi-user version of CP/M and could run the bulk of, but by no means all, of the software written for that operating system. 16-bit versions of the system were introduced in 1981 but MP/M was later replaced by Concurrent CP/M.
