GW-BASIC is a variant of Basic developed by Microsoft Corporation and sold as an alternative to IBM PC BASIC to OEMs that made IBM PC clones, and was typically bundled with OEM versions of MS-DOS and MS-OS/2.

- 1.00 (1983) - included with Compaq DOS 1.13
- 2.02 (1984)
- 3.20 (1986) - with MS-DOS 3.20, EGA support

- 3.23 (1988) - shipped with MS-DOS 4.01
A special version called HBASIC was shipped with Hercules Graphics Cards.
