ParcPlace-Digitalk was formed by the merger of ParcPlace Systems and Digitalk, which was announced in May and completed in August 1995. The company had headquarters in Sunnyvale, California, with subsidiaries in France, Germany, and the UK. In August 1996 Objectshare Systems, Inc. was acquired. The company was renamed in October 1997 to ObjectShare.
