A word processing program from Microsoft that is actually two completely different codebases. The first one was designed by Charles Simonyi and Richard Brodie and was developed on Microsoft's in house UCSD Pascal derived system and shipped for DOS and XENIX with versions appearing a little later for most personal computers available at the time.

The DOS 5.5 version is available as a free download from Microsoft. Link is to US English version, other languages are available.
