Concurrent CP/M was an operating system for micro computers developed by Digital Research. It can be configured as a single or multiuser multitasking system. Compared to CP/M-86 it supported also PC DOS programs and can work with DOS floppy disk formats.

Functions

Concurrent CP/M-86 is composed of several distinct modules:

  • Supervisor (SUP)
  • Real-Time Monitor (RTM)
  • Memory Management Module (MEM)
  • Character I/O Module (CIO)
  • Virtual Console Screen Manager
  • Basic Disk Operating System (BOOS)
  • Extended I/O System (XIOS)
  • Terminal Message Processor (TMP)
