A computer system manufactured by [[Apple Computer]] originally introduced in 1984. It comes in two distinct flavors, A 680x0 and later [[PowerPC]] based line of computers designed by Apple that ran a single tasking operating system called Finder (Later rechristened MacOS), and more recently a line of [[IBM PC]] compatible PC's that run [[Mac OSX]], an operating system derived from [[NeXTStep]].
