The Southern California Os/2 User Group or SCOUG was one of the the more active OS/2 User Groups out there, it was originally founded in 1993 by Rollin White in co-operation with Carla Hanzlik and Dr. Randell S. Flint and is still active to a degree in 2016. The group also held out a monthly newsletter.
The SCOUG was big enough to run a number of Special Interest Groups or SIG's, including:
- Programming SIG - Covered the usual topics including REXX, C, C++, Java, the Presentation Manager, OpenClass etc. It was active at the least as late as 2008, since Zdeněk V. Jizba was giving APL classes there that year.
- Networking SIG
- Internet SIG
- General Interest Group
Some of these groups met after each monthly SCOUG meeting, others had independent meetings.
