A word processing program from Microsoft that is actually two completely different codebases. The first one was a text mode version designed by Charles Simonyi and Richard Brodie and was developed on Microsoft's in house UCSD Pascal derived system and shipped for DOS and XENIX with versions appearing a little later for most personal computers available at the time.
