It enables the NetBIOS and the IEEE 802.2 protocols to OS/2 programs. It loads also support for the LAN Virtual Device Driver (LANVDD.OS2).

DEVICE=\IBMCOM\LANMSGDD.OS2 /I:drive:\IBMCOM /S

Writes a log named LANTRAG.LOG into drive:\IBMCOM. This file will contain any messages (such as errors) generated via LANMSGDD.OS2.
