Tip: The new Developer API Extensions UDMD in SMART was specially designed to exploit the API Extensions keyword set. You can find the UDMD in the \SMARTAUX\DAPIE32 subdirectory of the directory where you have installed SMART. Due to the size of this UDMD, only the dictionary (DAPIE32.DCT) file is included. Therefore, you must build the UDMD before you use it. To do so, select Create User UDMD from the Tables menu.

Tip: You can find step-by-step instructions for converting help files with SMART in the SMART User's Guide (located in the SMART folder when you install SMART) and in SMART's online help.

Tip: To convert Windows help files to OS/2 help files, you need to have the IPF compiler (IPFC), available in the Developer's Toolkit for OS/2 on your accompanying Developer Connection CD-ROMs.

Tip: Resource files that are converted from Windows to OS/2 contain no comments regarding converted code. Refer to the error log that is produced during the resource file translation for information about the converted file.

Tip: For help file conversion, a sample file called SAMPLE.HPJ is located in the SMARTAUX subdirectory of the directory where you have installed SMART.
