Concurrent CP/M was an operating system for micro computers developed by Digital Research. It can be configured as a single or multiuser multitasking system. Compared to CP/M-86 it supported also PC DOS programs and can work with DOS floppy disk formats.
Functions
Concurrent CP/M-86 is composed of several distinct modules:
- Supervisor (SUP)
- Real-Time Monitor (RTM)
- Memory Management Module (MEM)
- Character I/O Module (CIO)
- Virtual Console Screen Manager
- Basic Disk Operating System (BOOS)
- Extended I/O System (XIOS)
- Terminal Message Processor (TMP)
