Description
Open Sibyl was a Netlabs project to build a Pascal RAD (Rapid Application Development) tool for OS/2 that mimicked the features of Borland Delphi but with OS/2 specific feature support such as SOM, REXX and WPS, on top of mimicking the component features of the Blackbox Oberon system (aka Oberon/F) but rather than extending the Pascal language as Blackbox did with Oberon, the Open Sybil wanted to create a layer on top more like OpenDoc does.
Open Sibyl is a Pascal RAD (Rapid Application Development) Tool for OS/2 and eCS.

Open Sibyl is based on Free Pascal Compiler and its libraries. This compiler was choosen after a long discussion on the mailinglist. The problem was that neither the original SpeedSoft compiler nor the VPC compiler are open source (which is a requirement because some things need to be changed/extended).
Open Sibyl was to be built on top of Free Pascal compiler and its libraries.

Open Sibyl was to be built on top of Free Pascal compiler and its libraries.
