VisiCalc was a spreadsheet application available for most early microcomputer systems.
History
VisiCalc was developed in 1980 by Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston, which founded also the company Software Arts.
Jeff Stephenson converted the Z80 CP/M version to IBM PC.
The software package has been published by Personal Software (later VisiCorp). Lotus Development Corp. took over Software Arts in early 1985.
Interoperability
Files can be saved in Data Interchange Format (DIF) and used by other programs that support it.
