USA based gent that was the IBM developer that integrated the original REXX interpreter into VM/CMS back in 1982 and from then on until 1995 he was IBM's lead architect for REXX and principal developer of the Classic Rexx interpreter for OS/2, in addition to taking over the development of the IBM Object REXX interpreter in 1994. From 1995 Rick was involved in IBM programming languages projects, including 3 years as a member of IBM's Java Virtual Machine development team.
After the Object REXX interpreter was open sourced, Mr McGuire continued as a Principal Architect of the now renamed Open Object REXX project at the behest of Rexx Language Association
