It is used by many Soundcards. It gives support for the Joystick connector for DOS and Windows programs.

The Game port VDD requires [[GAMEDD.SYS]]. This driver provided gamepad / joystick support for application running on the DOS VDM sessions. It provides gameport support, and later modifications allowed USB passthrough.
