History
The company was originally founded under the name Haloid. The joint-venture that was established 1956 in Europe between Haloid and the Rank Organisation was the Rank Xerox Ltd.
1970 the Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) was opened in California. The Smalltalk programming language was developed there.
