Description

jEdit is an editor written in Java. It runs on any platform that provides a Java VM, including OS/2 and eCS. The editor contains a macro language and a plugin architecture so it's highly extensible. There are many plugins for all kind of purposes available. It also supports a wide range of character encoding including Unicode and UTF-8.
