Captain Blackbeard (CB) is the enhanced version of Blackbeard. It contains all the features of the original Blackbeard (except for TSR). The two most significant upgrades are the dynamically allocated editing limits, and the compile/review windows. The compile/review windows allow you to execute your compiler, saving the errors in a review file, and position the cursor in the code file for each error in the review file. It provides a fairly integrated development environment.
History
In 1988 Mr Powers introduced a much improved DOS version under the name Captain Blackbird that was mostly rewritten from scratch, this version was also made available in a native OS/2 version that was called Blackbeard/2. The original Blackbeard program continued to be sold for a few years afterwards side by side with the Captain Blackbeard product.
