Is Lazarus must be ported?

Cris: yes, please. We have OpenSybil (WDSybil), but I think Lazarus could help improve
the number of OS/2 projects that can be fulfilled. Especially now that a native FPC is
coming along nicely.
BTW, is there an undergoing effort to port Lazarus already? How can I join?
And what about joining development for native OS/2 FPC?

Prokushev: No. Lazarus not was not touched. We need native FPC first (without EMX, etc. libraries).

Cris: OK. May I help with native FPC? Which kind of knowledge/experience is necessary?
I just downloaded v1.9.6 of "native" FPC from www.freepascal.org.

Prokushev: You need to download FPC v1.0.x first as base compiler. After you need to download lates sourcecode from CVS. Refer instructions at www.freepascal.org for more info. After downloading will be done, try to build FPC. Later I can say, there we need to code to make support of native OS/2.
