The IBM Personal System/2 RPG II Application Platform is an RPG II deployment system originally shipped in 1989 that allowed a PS/2 compatible workstation or server with OS/2 to run software originally developed for System/36. The RPG II AP system runs as an OS/2 task and allows up to eight users to work on S/36 RGP compatible applications at a time, either connected via networking on PCs or using dumb ASCII terminals. The code for the RPG II AP is based on Baby/36 and should run System/34 applications out of the box as well as AS/400 applications specifically developed for RPG II (as opposed to RPG III or the native RPG/400).
