Jonathan B. Hacker is a Senior Scientist at the Rockwell Science Center, where he does work on microwave and millimetre-wave integrated circuits. He began using OS/2 in 1990 when he was a graduate student at Caltech. Since then, he has dabbled in OS/2 programming, culminating recently in a fairly large effort to port a cross-platform C++ GUI framework called V to OS/2. Many years earlier, Jon also released a popular TeX macro for the IBM EPM enhanced editor that went by the name of EPMTeX.

Jonathan B. Hacker (S’84) was born in Vancouver, BC, Canada on February 16, 1963. He received the B.A.Sc. degree in electrical engineering in 1986 from the University of British Columbia, the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena in 1990 and a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at Caltech.

From 1986 to 1988 he was associated with the communications research and development group of the Nexus Engineering Corporation. His research interests include millimetre-wave quasi-optical techniques, microwave power amplifiers, and computer-aided design and measurement of microwave circuits.
