GreUpdateColors causes a pel-by-pel remapping of the Device Context's visible area on the screen.

This function can be hooked by the presentation driver.

Simulation support
This function is simulated by a handling routine in Revision 2.0 (or later) of the graphics engine.

Syntax

GreUpdateColors(hdc, pInstance, lFunction)

Parameters

hdc (HDC) - input
Device context handle.
pInstance (PVOID) - input
Pointer to instance data.
lFunction (ULONG) - input
High-order WORD=flags; low-order WORD=NGreUpdateColor.

Returns

rc (BOOL) - returns
Return codes.
On completion, this function returns the following values:
Error (0)
Successful (1)
Possible Errors Detected: When an error is detected, the handling routine must call WinSetErrorInfo to post the condition. Error codes for conditions that the handling routine is expected to check include:
PMERR_INV_IN_AREA
PMERR_INV_IN_PATH

Remarks

This function causes a pel-by-pel remapping of the hardware palette indexes for the DC's visible area on the screen. This function call indicates that the window colors might have changed to incorrect colors if the window is in the background. By calling GreUpdateColors, the pels are changed to the color in the current physical palette that comes closest to the desired color.
